Zatanna was just doing her magic show when these two idiots came in and decided to butt heads.
She could have done that without you two, Fate and Jason, thank you very much!
Zatanna owns three Pidove named Tick, Trick and Track. They aren't for fighting though, but for her shows. Zatanna's magic normally saves her butt in dangerous situations. The birds are more of a distraction really.
Doctor Fate, a.k.a. Naboo is the Lord of Order. Doctor Fate needs no Pokémon. But he is attractive to Psychic-and Ghost types and is regularily followed by wild ones. Fate does not really care, but he secretly enjoys it. This Yamask got scared and is hiding behind him.
Jason Blood used to be a knight of King Artur, but when he betrayed Camelot to the Sorceress Morgan, Merlin summoned a demon and bound it to Jason's body as a form of punishment. In Medieval Times, many Pokémon were seen as Gods or Demons, especially Ghosts and Dragons. And Giratina is one of the most powerful ones. Merlin summoned this Giratina to bind it to Jason, naming it 'Etrigan'.
Etrigan is really powerful, and Jason can actually transform into it by using a spell. So Jason Blood is normally a man, but he does transform into a powerful rhyming Giratina when in danger. Also, since he is already over a thousand years old, he does no longer have other Pokémon on his own. He is tired of seeing his friends die from old age.

I can see Jason Blood using this rhyme to call forth his demon side: "Gone, gone the form of man! Rise the Dragon, Etrigan!" Also, given that Giratina is absolutely enormous in terms of size, I bet Jason would probably wait until he was outdoors in order to transform.
